My approach to web design focuses on simplicity, easy-of-use, and minimalism. I am a flexible developer who loves to learn new skills. Core skill areas include: Any and all FOSS, Unix-like systems, and graphic design.

Experience

Personal Webserver

Named after one of my cat's many nicknames, this is an instance of the open-source recipe management software Tandoor running on an old laptop flashed with Ubuntu Server. Features Cloudflare protection and self-signed SSL protection via LetsEncrypt, served with nginx and all wrapped up in a Docker container.

Hidden Springs Nursery

A redesign of Hidden Spring Nursery's original website, updated to include Bootstrap and a modernized shop page while staying close to the original theme.

This website

An ultra-lightweight website designed and deployed entirely using Cloudflare Pages.

Design Philosophy

I believe that too many web designers are focusing on extravagance over efficiency. My sites do not feature spinning buttons, flashing pictures, or image carousels - rather, they load in less than a second.
